Indie Bookstore Day is almost here, and we're inviting you to celebrate with us.
As a proud independent bookstore and member of the American Booksellers Association, Sip on Stories is thrilled to take part in the 13th annual Indie Bookstore Day, a nationwide celebration honoring the vital role independent bookstores play in their communities.
This year, we're bringing the magic of books beyond the shelves and into the heart of Matthews with a cozy, community-centered gathering designed for readers, families, and fellow book lovers alike.
Books, Community & Connection
Join us on Saturday, April 25, 2026, for a relaxed, picnic-style event at the beautiful Stumptown Park
From 4:00–8:00 PM, you're invited to drop by anytime, settle in, and enjoy a peaceful evening celebrating stories under the open sky.
We're also inviting book lovers of all ages to bring a blanket and join us for our Silent Book Club Matthews gathering, where you can slow down, unplug, and simply read together.
